When Todd Hetherington and Mary Lynn Stone, owners of CENTURY 21 New Millennium, heard that their Director of Business Development, Scott Becker, wanted to climb a mountain to raise money for Easter Seals, they were not surprised.  “A big part of New Millennium’s culture is giving back to the community.  We are fortunate to have individuals who are active participants in fundraising and contributing to causes that we are passionate about,” said Hetherington.

The New Millennium Climb for Easter Seals will take place the week of July 4th, 2011 at the foot of Mt. McKinley in Alaska.  During the eight-day trek, seven climbers will cross ice crevasses and make two separate summits, ascending over 30,000 feet.  Scott will be in good company.  One of his fellow climbers is Rick Davidson, President and CEO of CENTURY 21 Real Estate, LLC.

“We are so proud of Scott and what he has set out to accomplish,” added Stone.  “As soon as he told us about the climb, we assured him that we are 100% behind him, and that he could rely on our company resources to help him achieve his fundraising goal.”

Scott’s initial goal of raising $6,000 by May 29th has been achieved, and he is on to his next goal of raising $10,000 for Easter Seals by June 13th.  His total fundraising goal is $15,000 by July 2nd.  “It has been amazing and humbling to see the generosity and support of my family, friends and colleagues as I embark on this incredible journey,” said Scott.
