New Millennium University (Virginia) and New Millennium Real Estate School (Maryland) are your first steps to a successful career in real estate. Upon successful completion of the Principles course, visit a PSI testing center within one year to take your official national and state exam. This combined exam must be passed with a 70 percent score in both sections and costs $61 each time you need to take it. At this point, your can have your license number assigned by DPOR (Virginia) or DLLR (Maryland) and attach it to the brokerage of your choice.

Post-Licensing and Continuing Education Credits

Virginia Post-Licensing and Continuing Education Classes

The Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) requires all active new salesperson licensees to complete a Board-approved 30-hour post-license education (PLE) curriculum within one calendar year of obtaining their salesperson licenses in order to remain on active status.

Following the first-year post-licensing requirement, DPOR requires all brokers (24 hours) and salespersons (16 hours) who have renewed their license at least once before to complete Board-approved Continuing Education to keep their license active.

Maryland Continuing Education Classes

The Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulation (DLLR) requires all brokers and salespersons, new and experienced, to complete 15 hours of Continuing Education requirements in each two-year renewal cycle, and does not have a Post-licensing stipulation like DPOR (VA).

Continuing Education for Brokers

The Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulation (DLLR) requires all brokers, new and experienced, to complete 15 hours of Continuing Education requirements in each two-year renewal cycle.
