CENTURY 21 New Millennium announced today its support of Scott Becker, Director of Business Development, who joined a team of seven other climbers in an effort to summit two Mexican volcanos, Pico de Orizaba and Iztaccíhuatl, to raise money for Easter Seals’ “Make the First Five Count” initiative.
In the coming weeks, Becker and his team will charge the mountains of Mexico for the 2012 Rick’s Climb for Kids expedition, climbing over 35,000 feet in 5 days. This will be his second climb. Last year he spent 10 days living and climbing on the glaciers of the Alaska Range in Denali National Park. This year he has trained year round.
CENTURY 21 New Millennium’s Scott Becker is climbing again this year for Easter Seals.
“Over the past 12 weeks, I picked up the intensity, said Becker. “I have run 25 miles a week, weight trained every morning at 5:30, and run the stairs with a weighted pack to simulate the climb. We raised a little of $20,000 for Easter Seals last year. This year, I am trying to raise another $10,000 for children with disabilities.”

The Climb for Kids journey will begin base camp on Mount Iztaccihuat, where they’ll tackle Mexico’s third highest mountain at 17,159 feet, then on to North America’s third highest mountain, Pico de Orizaba at 18,491 feet.
