Team Kili 2015
The journey towards the Summit of Mt Kilimanjaro begins as a group of Century 21 members and the Global CEO, Rick Davidson make an attempt to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Our team is on the mountain.
We have some amazing people in the group. Lonnie is a Iraq war vet who lost his sight after coming back to the states. Dave lost his leg in Afghanistan. Stacey heads up a foundation for Navy Sesls widows. Her husband was On Seal Team Six and lost his life in Afghanistan. Jeff is a 30 year Army special forces vet. Diggs is a 35 year special forces veteran. Most of our crew has been part of No Barriers which has amazing outdoor programs for wounded veterans and children of veterans that lost their lives.
Century 21 is here strong raising money for Easter Seals and the Dixon Center which helps veteran families with disabilities. There is heavy rain and snow predicted for the next four days but summit day looks like it will be clear. Everyone has the right gear and is ready for the charge. Yesterday the group covered 3000 feet of elevation as they work their way out of the jungle. Monkeys are all along the route.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the fund raising. Please continue to spread the word and support a great cause. “Wish everyone could be here to see the amazing work that charities like Easter Seals supports,” Scott Becker, Branch Leader, Century 21 New Millennium.
