Charity golf tournament

On behalf of all of us at CENTURY 21 New Millennium, the staff and students at St. Mary’s Ryken High School, the Jenna Stone Memorial Fund, and the Joe and Mary Lynn Stone Family, THANK YOU for helping make our fourth annual Jenna Stone Memorial Charity Golf Tournament an event that exceeded our highest expectations.

A full field of 160 golfers and tournament supporters from communities across the greater D.C. Metro region came together on June 8 at Breton Bay Golf and Country Club in Leonardtown, Md., for what has come to be known as the best area golf charity event of the year.

Following a brief opening ceremony, golfers took to the beautiful Breton Bay course for a day of great weather, better-than-average mulligan-assisted golf scores, exceptional barbeque and plenty of beverages. Late in the afternoon, everyone moved next door to the Olde Breton Inn for an awards ceremony and dinner followed by a spirited auction. Through the incredible generosity of our donors, sponsors, and bidders, the event raised in excess of $120,000+ which will go toward providing scholarships to deserving area students who otherwise would not be able to attend Jenna’s alma mater, St. Mary’s Ryken High School.

Mary Lynn Stone, President and Co-Owner of CENTURY 21 New Millennium, stated that “It was an incredibly successful, and, I must say, a very uplifting event. From early in the morning throughout the day, there was great energy all around and an expectation of good things to come. We are humbled by the hard work and team efforts of our CENTURY 21 New Millennium sales associates, staff, leadership team and a community of supporters who ensured that everything came together successfully. It was just a fantastic experience.”

“The annual Charity Golf Tournament is one of the more successful events we have where CENTURY 21 New Millennium supports the local communities where we live and work” added Todd Hetherington, CEO and Co-Owner of CENTURY 21 New Millennium. “With 900+ agents and staff in 18 offices across the greater Washington, D.C. area, we are large enough to have strong market presence and national recognition, but we will always remain very focused on our responsibility to be good neighbors.”

Special thanks are in order to our event organizers, Tommy Higgins and Josh Yowell, who took time from their already-busy schedules to get all the pieces in place, our approximately 25 volunteers who came early and stayed late to ensure nothing was lacking, to our generous sponsors—including Knight Sponsors CENTURY 21, CENTURY 21 New Millennium, Maryland First Title and The Stone Family—and to the gracious Breton Bay Golf Club and Olde Breton Inn staffs, who did such a marvelous job of anticipating our every need.
