About Me

Raised in the military, I have lived all over the world. Almost 25 years ago, I moved to my forever home in Fauquier County. I spent more than 20 years as a business owner, negotiating commercial leases and investing in real estate. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to make real estate my full-time career. My favorite part of the job is all of the wonderful people I get to meet and help with one of the most important transactions of their life.

I am a certified Military Relocation Professional and have had extensive training in corporate relocations, USAA Movers Advantage Program and NFCU relocations. I was surprised how much she took out of her personal time (time I didn't expect a response by reasonable home life) to help me answer a question or do work that was part of our business process. I never (I mean never) waited on Alex to get anything done. We were always waiting on others and she even helped to expedite some of their work with phone calls and professional encouragement to get back to us sooner than the minimum required time.

When I first contacted Debra F A Wood to help me locate a new home, I was initially looking in the wrong market segment. I realized it after a few days of searches, and she was able to quickly adapt and find me the right home. This was only possible because she was very attentive to my needs. She was also very observant of the quality of the houses we visited, and very knowledgeable about the geographical areas and features of the neighborhoods. She was incredibly diligent in providing all the information I needed at all phases of the process, or in negotiating with the seller's agent. Finally, she was available almost instantaneously, very quick at returning calls and messages. I would not have been able to find what I wanted if it was not for her experience, knowledge, observation skills, and very hard work. She is definitely one of the best agents I have ever dealt with.
