About Susan Pruden

I didn’t take a straight path to real estate. Before finding my way here, I studied international relations, accounting, personnel management, and cultural and linguistic anthropology. I also spent nearly a decade processing and originating mortgage loans, along with several years self-employed doing marketing for real estate agents and mortgage loan officers.

Alongside that work, I spent years in retail management and bartending. Taken together, those experiences taught me how to read people, stay calm under pressure, and solve problems in real time.

That background shapes how I work today. Real estate transactions can be emotional and unpredictable, and my role is not to add to the chaos. My job is to stay clear-headed, look at the big picture, and help you understand your options—financial, practical, and timing-related—so you can make the best decision for yourself.

Clients often tell me they value my calm, especially when things get complicated. I take that seriously. There’s rarely a benefit to losing your cool in a high-stakes situation, and there’s always value in having someone steady in your corner. (My husband will tell you I save the ranting for home.)

I specialize in Cheverly because I know it deeply and care about it personally. I’ve worked with hundreds of homeowners here over the years and have been involved in the community in ways that go well beyond real estate.
