Val’s life is contained within a 20 mile radius of the White House – friends sprinkled across the DC/Arlington/Alexandria/Fairfax/Bethesda area, family in Foggy Bottom and Ballston, grad school in economics at the DC campus of Johns Hopkins University, work implementing data science at various federal bank regulatory agencies on the K-Street corridor, and teaching undergraduate courses in economics at the George Washington University.
