Celebrating 20 years of real estate service with the same compnay this year! I understand that buying or selling a home is more than just a transaction: it’s a life-changing experience. That’s why The Lighthouse Team is dedicated to providing exceptional, personalized service for all of our clients. We take great pride in the relationships we build and always work relentlessly on the client’s behalf to help them achieve their real estate goals.
My wife, Paula, and family and I moved to the Northern Virginia area when I was stationed here in late 1995 in the Air Force. After another 10 years and two back-to-back military assignments, I completed a satisfying career in the United States Air Force retiring with 20 years of service as a Major and Chief Systems Engineer for a large Defense communications organization in the area.
Having completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering at Arizona State University and a Masters in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, I was well poised to continue on as a Defense contractor…but there was something missing. I felt God was leading me to something different where I could help people in more tangible ways. Real estate seemed to be a natural transition, and I began my real estate career in early 2004.
Now, after 20 years and closing on more than 600 transactions, I have the experience base you need to help you with a listing or a purchase in the Northern Virginia area. Additionally, the CENTURY 21 New Millennium offices have ranked #1 in the World within the CENTURY 21 brand five times since 2010, an accomplishment we are extremely proud of!
I am very familiar with the Prince William, Fairfax, and Loudoun County areas, having helped buyers and sellers in all three counties. Living in Prince William county and having an office in Fairfax county enhances my exposure to and ability to serve these areas.
I am certified by CARTUS, the largest relocation company in the world, as a relocation sales and marketing specialist which means I have the skills, training, and experience to list homes for departing relocation employees and assist with home-finding for arriving relocation employees. Of course, I apply those same skill sets to my local clients for the best service possible. I have experience in new home sales, single-family homes, townhomes, and condo listings and sales and can help you with your needs, large or small. I particularly enjoy working with first-time buyers, helping you through what seems like an overwhelming web of processes and forms!
Having moved 13 times in my military career, I know the challenges associated with such a tumultuous time. So if you are moving from or to an area outside the Northern Virginia area, take the guesswork out of finding an agent! You want an agent with a proven track record, and I can ensure you are assigned a trained, experienced and qualified agent in your home area if you’re selling before moving here or in your new home area if you’re moving somewhere else from here.
Call me or send me your contact information, and I’ll help you find the right agent in our national and international Friends and Family network referral program.
My wonderful wife and I have four children, and we’re involved with our local church and volunteer time managing the youth and other vital areas of the church. I am also a volunteer Mission Pilot for a local Civil Air Patrol squadron, providing essential training to make our squadron ready when called upon for search and rescue services, disaster recovery assessment, and other emergency services.
