Mr. Thornton is a real estate professional and proud native Washingtonian with over 20 years of extensive experience in the real estate industry. His career spans a broad spectrum of real estate disciplines, including property acquisitions and dispositions, development projects, project management, apartment leasing, permit expediting, lobbying, portfolio management, and financial analysis. While his expertise covers many areas, Mr. Thornton primarily focuses on ground-up construction and extensive rehabs, leveraging his exceptional skills in planning, management, problem-solving, and analytical evaluation to drive project success.
A finance graduate from Boston College, Mr. Thornton launched BeOffCampus.com during his college years and quickly became the leading student rental agent in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. He further honed his real estate acumen with a Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Returning to the DC area, Mr. Thornton began his career as a real estate development consultant before transitioning into urban planning and zoning specialization. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to acquire two residential rental properties, generating substantial cash flow. To date, he has played a pivotal role in over $30 million worth of commercial real estate projects in the DC region, encompassing residential rehabilitation and new ground-up developments.
