During my time in the U.S. Air Force, I learned and became proficient at working on the hydraulic and pneumatic systems of the F-106 fighter plane. Additionally, I was cross trained to both working as a crew chief and learned the basic aspects of the jet engines. I especially enjoyed evaluating engine problems, which included learning to start and run the planes at full throttle as well as taxiing the planes to troubleshoot those problems. Two of my achievements included receiving “The Order of the Chevron” and “Airman of the Month.”
After the Air Force, I spent many years in the printing supply business. I started as a warehouse stocker and worked my way up to office manager.
In 2001, I made the decision to start a career in real estate. After successfully completing the Principles & Practices real estate course, I affiliated with a broker in Charles County. Each year from 2002 to the present I have been presented with production awards as one of the top office producers. One of the awards I am especially proud of was the “Outstanding Service Award” I received in 2006. This award is a recognition from your peers.
I have always believed the main ingredients to being successful are communication, being detail-oriented, education, consistency and dependability. With communication in real estate, it is important to keep all parties informed, educated and to be a good listener. A trust develops between you and your clients when they know they can depend on you.
