My main thought process is always the Golden Rule. My best intention and driving principle is to treat you, my clients, the way you want to be treated as if I was your client and you were my Realtor.
I started my Real Estate career in 1987 in the title industry and became a Realtor in 2006. I began my Realtor career in Catonsville and then transferred to Ellicott City, where I was part of my office’s No. 1 team for the last four years. I have been rated one of the Top 100, I was awarded the International Presidents Circle Award and a winner of the Women’s Choice Award. I take my responsibilities as Realtor very seriously and enjoy working with my clients and having a great business relationship during transactions and a friendly relationship after our transaction is complete.
I currently reside in Catonsville with my husband and two adult children. I am from a very large family being the last of eight children, my family is the backbone of the person that I have become. I attribute this mainly to my late parents, who taught me to work hard for what I need, pray for the things I want, and that nothing is handed to us.
In December of 2015, I had the honor and the privilege of being part of an amazing adventure. I was part of the Living Donor Kidney Transplant, an eight-way kidney exchange program. I donated my kidney to someone who needed it, and in exchange, my family member received a kidney. I was unable to donate directly. This turned out to be a blessing.
“So much of what is best in us is bound up in our love of family, or know someone that it remains the measure of our stability because it measures our sense of loyalty.” – Haniel Long
I love what I do, I love being around others and gaining trust in all my relationships is very important to me. Many will attest to my character as a person. Doing a job well, valuing what one does, having a sense of purpose and feeling/being a part of a greater vision or plan is vital.
Remember me whether you are purchasing or selling your home, or perhaps if you know of someone. I look forward to working with you!
“To give real service, you must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money, and that is sincerity and integrity.” – Douglas Adams
What My Clients Say
“We have worked with Colleen twice now on the sale of our homes. Her expertise from staging to settlement was very smooth each time. Colleen has a wealth of knowledge and easy to work with. We highly recommend Colleen and would use her in the future.” – Pat and Joanne Heaney
“Colleen sold our house lightning-fast and helped negotiate a deal for our new house. She did her job with passion, promptness, and pizazz. That line may sound corny, but it’s true. Working with Colleen felt like I was working with a human being who cared about my needs, which is not the case with every realtor. She got back to us with an answer to every question very quickly and would even handle paperwork at night and on weekends. She dropped things off at our house and gave us excellent advice on getting our home “show ready.” We really liked every contractor she recommended, and they performed quality and affordable improvements. She went back and forth, working with the realtor who sold us our new house, until we felt like we had a good compromise. She took time to drive a long way to come visit us when we settled in. I recommended her to both of my parents, and she sold their houses as well! I trust and respect Colleen as a realtor and person and know that she is honest and in it for the right reasons.” – Julia & Tim Showalter
“I am a senior paralegal at the law firm of Bouland & Brush, LLC where I specialize in estate administration. I have worked with Colleen Middleton for over 15 years. I highly recommend her as a real estate agent. She is an expert at her profession. She is professional, easy to work with, responsive and highly effective. When I need to market a piece of real property for an estate, Colleen is the first person I call, she has a 100% success rate with us.” – Karen McCormick, Senior Paralegal of Bouland and Brush
“I wanted to take the time to let you know how pleased I am with Colleen Middleton. Colleen handled the sale of my house. I lost my husband 6 months ago and I did not want the responsivity that would come with keeping our house. I remembered Colleen from a few years ago when she helped my uncle sell his house, so I contacted her, and I am so glad that I did. Her broad knowledge of the real estate business enables her to help me understand what would happen and what could happen in the time it took to get my house sold. She has a great sense of humor and always made me feel like I was a friend. Even when I was down because I was missing my husband, she always knew the right thing to say to raise my spirits. Not only is she professional and courteous, she is a real everyday down to earth person. I have an appreciation for her. I wanted her to know I really meant it. I wish all the best to Colleen.” – Theresa Rose
“I have had the pleasure of working with Colleen Middleton and cannot recommend her highly enough. Her level of professionalism both in court as an expert witness and as a Realtor selling property has been impeccable.
In domestic cases involving divorce and the required sale of real marital property, she has given neutral and invaluable assistance in evaluating the property value and in selling the properties quickly and within her estimated values. In tense cases where the parties have been adversarial, she has made the ability to work in a matter that elicited cooperation from them and could be effective without either party creating obstacles to the sale.
Her ability to testify in court as an expert witness at a trial was astounding frankly. In all my years of experience, she has been the one I consider the greatest asset. She is direct, clear, speaks in language everyone understands, is firm in her decision and can provide the basis of those opinions in a matter that is difficult to refute. Her personality is such that she brings a great deal of enthusiasm to her work and that carries over to the people that she works with. She could make a very difficult and stressful circumstance manageable and comfortable to those she works with.
I consider her an asset in my work and my practice and since meeting her and experiencing her results I consider her to be the first person I turn to when I need information and guidance in Real estate.” – Katherine Tuminello, Attorney at Law
“I appreciate the outstanding job Colleen Middleton did for me in marketing and selling my father’s home. I was the executor of his estate in Halethorpe, but I reside in Portland Oregon. I made quite a few trips to Baltimore to handle estate business, including preparing the house for sale the house required repairs and extensive sprucing up before being listed. I have not lived in Baltimore in 30 years and did not know where to start. Colleen came to my rescue and recommended contractors and businesses that were skilled and efficient. Colleen also used her expertise to help me decide which repairs and cosmetic work would maximize the sale potential of the house. I am glad I followed her advice, as I accepted a very good offer on the house and was able to close a month later. Colleen did a fantastic job of marketing and selling the house during a traditionally Dead month f mid-winter. which was normally a dead part of winter. Throughout the entire process, she kept me updated and promptly returned my calls and emails. It was a difficult time for me, I was handling the estate via long distance and mourning the loss of my father. Colleen’s professionalism and kindness made a big difference. She went the extra mile for me many times. I have and will continue to recommend her to friends and family in Baltimore.” – Michele Sullivan
