Chuck Fant comes to CENTURY 21 New Millennium after a long and successful career on Capitol Hill, where he worked for former U.S. Representative John M. Spratt Jr., of South Carolina, a budget and defense policy expert. Chuck was Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Director to Mr. Spratt, and Communications Director at the House Budget Committee.
Chuck’s interest in real estate began in Washington, D.C., in 1983, his first year working for Mr. Spratt, who as a small-town lawyer, had settled more than 1,000 real estate transactions. During this time, Chuck’s neighbor and friend became a realtor, and Chuck bought his first apartment at 16th and U Streets. He later lived in Logan Circle and Adams Morgan, and over time, developed a good understanding of these and other neighborhoods in the city and the suburbs.
A resident of D.C. for 33 years, Chuck brings to CENTURY 21 New Millennium a deep knowledge of the Washington Metropolitan Area, and a seasoned set of communications and political skills. He is a strong believer in clarity, transparency, collaboration, and hard work — values that will guide his teamwork, client relationships, and real estate transactions every step of the way.
“I am delighted to join CENTURY 21 New Millennium, and excited to be working on the Greater Capital Area Team, led by my longtime friend, Lou Muscarella,” Chuck said. “I look forward to helping our clients with any of their real estate needs.”
Before moving to Washington, Chuck was Public Information Officer at the Governor’s Office of Consumer Affairs, in Atlanta. A native of South Carolina, he earned a B.A. degree in English and History from Presbyterian College, and a M.A. degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri.
