I have been working with Barbara Cornwell for two years to find the perfect piece of land. At first, I was looking for 8 acres, and then, I wanted to look for 10 or more. I had A LOT of specific stipulations. I didn't want "too much pine" and I didn't want to live near people who have dog kennels in their yards, and the list grew. We walked properties in Caroline, Spotsylvania, and Orange. Sometimes Barbara would stay near the cars so that I could wander off into the brush and if I got lost, I could shout to her and find my way back! All of this to say, searching for land with Barbara didn't seem like a business transaction. It felt like going out and about with a friend. I could not be happier to announce that I have closed on the 18th on no less than 21 acres in Orange County... on my very favorite road in Orange County! It was a property that had been under contract but it seemed that it might not be going through, so Barbara reached out for be before it was officially re-listed and was able to get all the information about why the prior contract fell through and confirmed that it was actually the perfect property for me! I just couldn't believe it. Then, we wrangled with the Orange County land development department to get the information I needed about driveway access for my adjacent neighbors.
